Definitely a big checkbox to check off! So grateful and super excited to display my work at @affordableartfairhk! Thanks for having me! And thank you @hanaart_sogetsu!
Alex’s music, art, and imagination draw inspiration from a wide spectrum of other arts such as literature, music and film. Heavily influenced by “Magical Realism” Alex often paints from a world where reality and fiction are intertwined and the forces that are often invisible are very influential. Take for example the poem “Village by the Sea” which sets the enviornment of “Girl’s Bedroom”. You will notice the almost ancient feel of the world but the highly animated connection to nature.
Alex is an enthusiastic learner and does not believe anyone should limit themselves to any one vocation. He himself is a yoga teacher, singer/songwriter, actor, and artist. He believes crossing over is incredibly beneficial to the creative process so this exhibition he has found his studio roommate, HANA ART STUDIO to assist him in decorating his walls. A good story should be immersive and Alex hopes this collaboration will help submerge the viewer deeper into the dimension of Alex’s art.

มีแค่ 8 ตอน คิดว่าจะคัดมาแบบเน้น ๆ เจ๋ง ๆ ท๊อป ๆ ครีม ๆ แต่สิ่งที่ได้คือ
2 ใน 8 เล่าประเด็นเดียวกันแบบเชย ๆ เทคโนโลยีที่กลายเป็นดาบสองคม
2 ใน 8 กลายเป็นหนังสยอง สนุกแล้วไง? ใช่คอนเซปต์ซีรีส์ไหม ฉันมาดูไซไฟ ไม่ใช่ Goosebumps
หลายตอนเหมือนทำแค่เป็น pilot เอาไปเสนอขายสตูดิโอ บิ๊กไอเดียมาเต็ม มู้ดแอนด์โทนแน่นกริ๊บ แต่เนื้อเรื่องไม่จบในตัวเอง ค้าง ๆ คา ๆ คงกะว่าปั้นหน้าพรีเซนต์สวย ๆ ไปก่อน ขายผ้าเอาหน้ารอดมาก

Automated Customer Service - จริง ๆ บทปวกเปียกมาก แต่มองข้ามความเด๋อได้ เมื่อพิจารณาว่านี่คือการ์ตูนเบาสมองระดับการ์ตูนเน็ตเวิร์คที่หยอดประเด็นภัยคุกคามจากความอัจฉริยะของ AI และความบ้งของระบบ call center ที่ไม่ช่วยห่าอะไรเลย

Pop Squad - บทไทยประกันชีวิตมากกกก มีแต่ความฟูมฟายแบบไร้น้ำหนักความน่าเชื่อถือ คือก่อนดูนี่เตรียมใจมาซึ้งล่ะ ดูจบ คือไม่ซื้อตรรกะอะไรเลย ตัวละครเปลี่ยน motivation ง่ายไปไหม มึงเป็นตำรวจล่าเด็กมาทั้งชีวิต แปบ ๆ เจอคนมาเทศน์แป๊บเดียว จิตใจรวนเรง่ายดายเปราะบางเป็นไผ่ลู่ลม

Snow in the Dessert + Life Hutch - ตอแหล่มาก นี่มันหนังคนแสดง อนิเมชั่นตรงไหน ทั้งเรื่องมีดีแค่เทคนิคงานสร้าง ส่วนบทคือเททิ้งทั้งคู่ Life Hutch นี่คือมาประเด็นเดียวกับ Automated แต่อันนั้นมันแนวการ์ตูน โลจิกมันได้ นี่มึงมาทำตอนซีเรียส ๆ แต่ระบบ AI รวนง่ายเป็นแอปหมอชนะ มึงควรพิจารณาตัวเองด่วน

The Tall Grass - ชอบงานภาพมาก ๆ นึกถึงพวกหนังสือนิทานที่อ่านวัยเด็ก บทดี มีข้อคิด แต่มันไซไฟตรงไหน เห็นนี่เป็นคนรักหนังสยอง แต่ก็ต้องคุมโทนนะ ไม่งั้นซีซั่นหน้าไม่เอาสุดสาครมาทำเลยล่ะ

All Through the House - สนุกดี แต่ข้อหาเดียวกับเรื่องบน มันไซไฟตรงไหน

The Drowned Giant - อยากจะรักตอนนี้ แต่ไปไม่สุด โทษอย่างแรกเลยคือซับแปลแล้วงง ถ่ายทอดความหมายไม่ดี อ่านไป งงไป เหมือนเอาคอมพิวเตอร์มาแปลภาษากวี ผลที่ได้ก็เลยเหมือนได้เชยชมกลิ่นอายบรรยากาศ magical realism แต่ไปไม่ถึงแก่นของมัน อยากจะรักมันได้มากกว่านี้จริง ๆ

ตอนที่ชอบที่สุด ยกให้เป็น best ทั้งภาพ เนื้อหา คอนเซปต์ คือ ICE
พล๊อตดี การสร้างบรรยากาศเรื่องคือดี แค่ไม่ถึง 5 นาที แต่เราเห็นสภาพสังคม ความเป็นอยู่ของตัวละคร ได้ครบถ้วนกระบวนความ ทั้งความอึดอัดในฐานะคนนอก ความรู้สึกแปลกปลอมในฐานะคนชั้นรองของสังคม การออกแบบซีนวิ่งชมปลาวาฬคือ spectacular มาก ๆ อลังการงานเนี้ยบ ในแง่ของประเด็นก็เต็มอิ่ม ถึงจะไม่ได้ใหม่มาก แต่เป็นตอนเดียวที่มันพูดกับหัวใจมนุษย์จริง ๆ
